Bedfordshire Sands Winter Light Remembrance Service

We warmly invite you to join us for a peaceful time of remembrance and reflection as we come together to honour our babies with love. Christmas can be a particularly difficult time for those of us whose little ones are not here to share it with us.

The Lights of Love Service offers a peaceful space to come together, reflect, and remember our babies with love. You are very welcome to invite grandparents, family, and friends to join you.

When: Sunday 06th December 2026, 4:00pm
Where: St Andrews Church, Kimbolton Rd, Bedford, MK40 2PF

The service will include carols and readings, lighting of candles, and baubles with baby names to hang on the Christmas tree.
 

Attendance & RSVP

The service is open to everyone, and there is no need to register to attend.

However, to help us prepare the order of service, refreshments, and personalised baubles, we kindly ask you to complete a short form

Please complete the form by Monday 30th November 2026 if possible.

Baubles & Readings

Bedfordshire Sands lovingly provides a bauble with your baby’s name to hang on our remembrance tree during the service. You can take it home afterwards to place on your own tree or keep safe for next year.

If you already have a bauble from a previous year, we’d be honoured for you to bring it along to hang on the tree once again for the service.

If you would like to dedicate a reading, poem, or message to your baby, please include this in the above form.

We can arrange for someone to read on your behalf if preferred.

Lighting a candle

If you are unable to attend and would like us to light a candle in memory of your baby(s), please still complete the above form.

After the Service

Please join us after the service for refreshments and a game of Bingo — a gentle opportunity to connect and spend time together.
